WINEMAKER NOTES:
This hand-crafted, made from the heart, limited release wine
celebrates the Botrytis Cinerea "pourriture noble," which concentrates
the grape's varietal character and enhances the rich flavors associated
with late harvest wines. This elegant wine embraces the aromas and
flavors of melon, honey, apricot and pear followed by white flowers
and sage.
HISTORY:
After 25 years of creating wine for Beringer Vineyards, Roger A.
Harrison  decided
the time was right to venture out on his own. He had the privilege
to be trained by not one, but three renowned legends in the wine
industry, Myron and Alice Nightingale and Edward Sbragia. Having
learned the fine art of winemaking through these mentors, Harrison
soon began to specialize in the late harvest Botrytis Cinerea ("pourriture
noble") style wines. He took this knowledge forward to create his
distinctive 2006 Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc.
THE VINEYARD:
The Gamble Ranch vineyard in Yountville lies in the heart of the
Napa Valley.
